Can you help a confused, newish Catholic?

Hi there, Tis been a while since posting, But I have a different question for you, I’m confused about papal infallibility, I have seen reports that Pope Benedict 16 has claimed against Israel by accepting a palastinian state, I have read that there are approved changes to some words in the Sacred scriptures, and more, I’m confused, Should I still follow the Holy see? I’m half minded about this and would like to know what direction I should travel for our LORD JESUS CHRIST, I don’t want to make JESUS dissapointed but yet I don’t know if the Pope is right either,
Please help me!

Hi,

The Pope can only speak infallibly regarding faith and morals. His opinions regarding social issues are not necessarily infallible. While he may take issue with certain translations, he would never change Scripture.

You never have to worry about the Church being unfaithful to Christ. He promised to remain with it to protect it from false teaching and for over two-thousand years, He has.
