Can you help me here with the Holy Trinity?

I am seeking a better understanding of the Holy Trinity as, in reading the Bible, it would appear that Jesus had to ask permission of his Father at times (reference raising Lazaraus for example), additionally, he was tempted in the desert by Satan, but how could God be tempted?

In His divine nature Jesus is equal to the Father. But in His human nature He was not only subject to the Father, but also subject to Mary and Joseph.
