Can you help one in seeking light in the face of divorce?

My husband of 24 years announced the day before Valentines that he wanted out of marriage, I begged and plead, to no avail, if we are legally divorced then may I still take communion with our Lord? Uncontested and have an advocate for annulment, just concerned about this Lenten Season
 
Dear friend,

The Church allows divorce for the equitable division of goods held in common. It, of course, does not consider the marriage ended. So long as you live a celibate life, you are free to receive the sacraments. You are in our prayers.
