My dear Catholic family,
My twin sister just moved back to our home town and is now living with her boyfriend. I am a convert, and definately the black sheep in my family but love my cross and thank Jesus for his strength.
Well I also have two small children, 1 & 3 1/2 and told my sister that because of my concern and disagreement with her choice that my children are not allowed to see her at her house.
I explained how much I loved her and how important it is that she is present in her nieces’ lives but that as a parent I will not subject my girls to her living choice. I did say that she can come over to my house anytime, that we can meet at the park, etc.
As you can imagine she was irrate, hurt and does not understand my decesion, as the rest of my family.
Any suggestions? Anyone else out there found themselves in similair posistions?
On a side note, her boyfriend is a baptized catholic but non practicing, what happens if they plan on marrying one day?
Thanks!
