Can you help re. this perplexing situation?

I have a 23-year-old daughter that has decided to live with her boyfriend. This situation has broken my heart, as she knows how her father and I feel and that it totally goes against how we have tried to raise her.
Tomorrow is Easter and I am ecstatic about my daughter and her boyfriend attending Mass with us. I have this uncomfortable feeling that they may need to be reminded that they cannot receive Holy Communion with the family, but I do not want to put another wedge between us. How is the best way to handle this? I assume that the Church Doctrine still teaches that one does not receive Holy Communion if they are unwed but living with someone.

Hi,

The best thing you can do for your daughter is to put the Lord first. To receive the the Body of Christ in the state of mortal sin is worse than droping it in the sewer. Putting the Lord first will help you daughter in the long run. Trust Him. We will pray for her–and you.
