Good Afternoon,
I understand that Father Keating is to be in Sarasota, Florida on Dec. 7th, 2007. I am interested in the Centering Prayer but I find some of the information in incompatible with the The Cloud of Unknowing. Could someone help me with some basic questions that I might ask Father Keating.
I happen to feel that Christianity Active and Passive can stand alone it does not need to be propped up with Hindu/Buddhist techniques & theory. As I understand Thomas Merton also tested some of the Eastern techniques and felt that they did not go far enough.
Finally, is there someone in the west coast of Florida that is practicing Contemplation as it is expressed in the Cloud? My kindest regards, Al Zeppernick
