I am a non-Catholic married to a non-Catholic in our Baptist church (13 years ago). We have 3 kids. We are both baptized validly (in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit). This is our only marriage.

I’m wanting to convert and have talked to a priest and the RCIA director (some time back) about this. Would I be able to receive the Eucharist while being married to a non-Catholic? And what are the requirements for my faith in regards to raising my 3 children?

Peace…

Hi,

Yes, you will certainly be allowed to receive the Eucharist while having a non-Catholic spouse. For now, just let your children know what you are doing. Eventually, they may want to follow you. You are in our prayers. Welcome!
