Can you identify this bible?

Hey guys, I’m wondering if y’all could help me out. I saw this picture online and it seems to be of some sort of bible- maybe even in Italian or something- with illuminations decorating some pages. Does anybody know what bible this is and/or how I could purchase it?? Thanks!

It reminds me of a Bible I got after I got married. Try Thomas Nelson Bibles or Royal Publishers.

I wasn’t able to find that particular Bible, but you can usually get a nice facsimile edition for four figures. You can get a reeeeeally nice facsimile edition for five figures…

It makes you appreciate why these used to be chained up. They weren’t your little $5 pocket Bibles…

It sort of looks like a 1950s Catholic Family Edition of the Holy Bible. Challoner/Douay text.
There is a Pontifical letter by Pope Pius XII. The illustrations look similar. This Bible is on eBay.

I was thinking of the same thing.

It reminds me of the family Bible that my parents used to have in their bedroom.

It was a gift from my paternal Grandmother, and then I don’t know what happened to it.

Supposedly it was passed around in the family, as it had an area in the front of it that recorded family births.
