Well, that is to say, is it Christian to like them NOW? As a big fan of books, films and other forms of fiction, I have always preffered the bad guys to the good ones. Not because I a) seek to emulate them (God forbid) b) agree with their immoral thoughts (again- God forbid!) yet I cannot honestly say I ‘love to hate’ them…When it comes down to it, there is something more theatrical and exciting about their characters. I don’t advocate real life villians but, well, name a better character than Darth Vader for instance…
If all desires come from God and non are sinful save lesser-goods and wrong ideas of aquiring them (aka selfishly etc…)…then does it follow that liking, say, Vader, is in no way against God’s wishes?
Thanks
