Can you make up your own chaplets?

If for example I wanted to pray a chaplet to my guardian angel or a saint?

Thanks.
Hi Nelka,

You might find some that are already available that might address what you’re looking for, in terms of your prayer needs.

For example, the Chaplet of St. Michael the Archangel addresses all of the Choirs of Angels, and includes our Guardian Angel in it.

If you’re interested in praying it, there is a video to it on YouTube where you can pray along with Mother Angelica from EWTN, and there is also a written version that I’ll post the link to here, from EWTN.

Here it is for you, if you would like to take a look at it:

Nothing at all wrong with making up your own Chaplet as a devotion.

I think it’s okay to devise your own chaplet.

For example, I have a sort of litany that I pray, made of five or so lines that are applicable to myself and to what I need or am asking for. Something along these lines:

From ___, deliver me Jesus
That ______, oh Jesus, grant me this grace.
