We are supposed to follow the GIRM PERIOD. Why should we incorporate odd practices that have never been part of the Mass and certainly are not included in the GIRM? Is the Mass not enough without saying ones name before receiving communion? Does that spirit somehow improve something that has been lacking for centuries? Should we petition the USCCB to make this - oh most holy practice official? We’re meant to follow the GIRM in the spirit of charity.
This sounds more and more like a Fundamentalist Website, where every word is taken literally and the meaning behind the words are lost.

Honestly - we should follow the Letter of the Law. We shouldn’t include those things that haven’t been approved AGAIN PERIOD.
