I am a practicing Catholic, and I need to know if I can participate in my non-practicing catholic niece’s wedding.
She is getting married in a church that see does not belong to or practice in (I do not know the denomination). I do not know what her fiancé’s religion is. Her fiancé is the one pushing for a church wedding.
She was she was baptized Catholic and made her first communion. She has never practiced the faith, following in her parents foots steps. Since she has never practiced she is not well informed of church teaching especially on marriage. She is living with her fiancé and he has had a vasectomy to ensure that he can not have children. I plan on attending the wedding, but I would like to know if I can participate.
Thanks for you advice,
