I have asked numerous questions over the last month and none have been responded to. I am in a very intense discussion with a protestant friend and when I need some help I look to you guys. “Ask an Apologist” has been of no help. At least respond with, “Not responding”. My first question was regarding Cyril of Alexandria and his role in the death of Hypatia. He is a Saint no less. How is this explained? The second was on the church’s teachings on predestination. I cannot find it anywhere, not even in the Catechism. And what about the church’s role in Galileo’s life and the Caupernican Debaucle. How am I supposed to explain how the church’s doctrines have not changed when there was a clear change of position on the earth as center of the universe. Please help me out. Respond to my email if you wish.

Dear P,

We receive so many questions that we are not able to answer all of them. However, the topics you mention can be found online in the original Catholic Encyclopedia.
