Can you receive the Eucharist at the Easter Vigil and on Easter Sunday?

I am considering going to both since they are apparently extremely different. Since vigils fulfill sunday obligations, would receiving at the vigil and on Sunday be equivalent to receiving twice in one day?

It is permitted. Although I think the Easter vigil doesn’t fulfil your Sunday obligation as it is not as a normal vigil for Sunday Mass would be.

“Anyone who participates in the Mass of the night may receive Communion again at Mass during the day. A Priest who celebrates or concelebrates the Mass of the night may again celebrate or concelebrate Mass during the day.”

And yes, you can receive Communion at both. When I was baptized, I went to Sunday mass the next morning to be able to focus just on the experience of receiving Communion because I had been so overwhelmed by everything the night before that I felt the First Communion part had been rather lost in the experience.

I couldn’t remember for sure if it did as I always attend both thanks casslean

No.

A day is midnight to midnight.

You may receive twice in one day, if the second is at mass.

But the Vigil and Easter Sunday masses are on two different days.
