My friend lost her husband two years ago and is very depressed from the grief. Is there a good book that can help?

Not with actual depression, no. For that, I recommend you urge your friend to see her doctor for evaluation and referral to a grief counselor or other appropriate mental health professional. Once she is on the path to managing her depression and grief though, the books linked below might be helpful.
