Can you see your Guardian angel?

When I was a teen, I remember in the middle of the night waking and seeing a young beautiful woman in my corner of my room floating a foot or so off the ground and she said, “don’t worry - everything will be alright”, and that’s all she said and then she was gone. I was not afraid at all when I “woke” and saw her in my room. I don’t have any clue what she was referring to still, lol, but it’s a nice memory for me. I don’t really feeel it was a dream, or maybe it was but it was still real I feel - what do others think?
 
I have never seen mine. I just know that he works over time. So many things that have happened that could have been so much worse. I am blessed.
 
I never see mine, but she does talk to me. Her name is Aquinas, and she is quite shy and very harsh.
 
How do you know the name of your angel? I want to form a closer bond between mine, and giving it/knowing it’s name would bring me much joy.
 
She said I could give her any name I choose. She didn’t really have one.
 
No, I have a hard time relating to my GA. I think more about others peoples GA’s, esp. my kids GA’s. Tim
 
I have 2. I haven’t “seen” them but I know they are Naomi and Richard.

Wow, that is so cool. Did you just name them that yourself, or did they tell you that their names are Naomi and Richard? I have just come back home to the Church and I am realizing that I have my own angel to guard me! This is a very exciting time :).
 
Hmmm - I want my guardian angel to be strong and manly so he can kick some devil butt. Most representations of angels are too feminine for me, I’ve always thought of my angel as masculine (and yes I know that angels are spirits).

One day went I went for my usual morning walk, I was thinking about how we have angels who “watch” over us all the time and keep us from harm. Immediately I “heard” the names Naomi and Richard. I was not too surprised about Richard as that is my late father’s name, but Naomi was the name I "heard " first and I am not sure about that one.Or where it came from.
Now when I am walking in the local park, I often “hear” Naomi and Richard “talk” to me. Sounds dumb to some, but I find great comfort in them.

The GA for my middle son, works overtime and should be on payroll. :rolleyes:

Anyway, one of my angel’s name is Cindy. How do I know? As a child, I had an imaginary friend, her name was Cindy and she lived at the local dump (yeah, the garbage field)…anyway, in most cases, if you had an imaginary friend during childhood, that is you GA. Children are so receiptive to angels and can even see them.
 
I just feel so bad for mine. I have been turning away from him and God for so long that, even though he does protect me, and always has, I still feel that I am not worthy of having him anymore. Hopefully with time I can forgive myself the way he has forgiven me, but it hurts knowing that I basically spit on his face every time he helped me and I didn’t thank him. 😦

How come you lucked out with 2?..or maybe that’s what it takes to keep you on the straight and narrow.:rotfl: (just kidding of course)😉
 
I know for darned sure that my poor little angel has had his hands full with me at certain times in my life.😃 I talk to him alot and he has saved my life through various situations, so I love him alot, but sometimes I feel guilty as he has had a big job with me.😃
 
Although I have been Catholic all my life, I have only recently started hearing about guardian angels.

Does everyone have one? What do they do? Can we talk to them? How do we get to know them?

Sorry for all the questions…I know I should know these things, but I don’t. :o What an amazing idea–it boggles my mind, how much God loves us!

Are there any references in the bible to female angels? Or aren’t they all male? Gabriel, Michael, Rapheal, etc.

The above notwithstanding, I always think of mine and my daughter’s as feminine. When I try to picture my son’s, images and thoughts of Jesus fill my mind. What should I make of that?
 
I believe Angels are spirit - they are neither male nor female, and they don’t need muscle to fight Satan.🙂
 
Mine sat at the foot of my bed one night to keep me company when I was especially sad. I never slept better!
 
I thought I heard it explained once that we all have at least one guardian angel, and may even have more. However, any angel you do have is assigned to protect you alone and nobody else. Sure makes me feel special, you know? But no, I have never named mine, or really talked to him that much. I guess am just shy 😊 .
