Do you have to confess mortal sins you commit in your dreams? And if so, how would one go about confessing that? (“I had a dream where I consented to X of my own free will,” or something like that?")
I know the general answer is “no,” but I find myself being able to make rational choices in my dreams. It’s not lucid dreaming- I don’t realize that I’m dreaming- but I’ll think to myself, “this is wrong,” “you shouldn’t do this,” etc, before committing the sin in the dream. There are times in my dreams when I do very altruistic acts, too, and I feel proud of that, so how could I have full free will in one situation and not in the other?
