Can you wear a rosary around your neck?

Haha. They are made different sizes (different lengths than others). I normally just take the ends and put a clasp from a necklace on them so that it is easier than squeezing over my head. If I ever have to take any of the beads off for whatever reason, I make sure to keep them. This may not be important to others, but is very important to me.

It’s up to you though. If you want to keep squeezing it over your head, that seems to work.
A local jeweller can also fix this issue for you if you wanted.
 
Most of the seminarians I have taught in India wear their rosary around their necks.
 
I am A Catholic come home and with me came 4 of my children 22, 20, 19, 16. They are so happy with their religeon and so eager to learn They just made their first Penance we had a small family celebration. One of them was asked to say the Rosary so I taught them about the Rosary and bought them each their own. Immediatly they put them on even though they know how to use them but they said they are proud to reverence the Blessed Mother. Hoe can this not be ok?
 
Here in Colorado in several schools, they have had to ban the wearing of Rosaries around one’s neck because they are used to show one’s gang affiliation.

I personally don’t like the Rosary being worn around someone’s neck. It just doesn’t seem reverent enough. Too many people wear them around their necks, so one simply views it as a fashion statement, rather than considering the fact that they might actually use it. I wear mine around my wrist frequently. It is still easily accessible and it shows that I actually use it.
 
OH I can assure you that hell hates the sight of the Rosary, Wear it Everyday!

There are a number of companies that make Rosary necklaces. The only thing different about them is between the 5th and 6th bead in the 3rd decade, there is a clasp. Otherwise they are the same as any other rosary.

However, I once wore a rosary around my neck when I was in Las Vegas. After bending over the craps table a few times to place chips, the contact of the rosary against me and the edge of the table caused it to break.

Whether that was a “sign” that I was wearing my rosary in the wrong place or for the wrong reason is up to you to decide.

Wearing a Rosary around your neck is not bad as long as you’re doing it for the right reasons: a fashion statement though is not the right reason.
 
I have a huge Rosary, that barely fits my pockets. So sometimes I wear it around my neck.

It does help me act more Christian, which is good.
