I say Canada is the most anti-Catholic, (currently.)
I say Canada is the most anti-Catholic, I live in Canada so I should know.
I respectfully disagree, as a Canadian Catholic. I too did not answer the poll, as I believe it is a matter of conjecture unless a person has actually lived in all 4 places and thus has a basis for comparison.I say Canada is the most anti-Catholic, (currently.)
Do you live in Canada?I say Canada is the most anti-Catholic, (currently.)
Have you worshiped in all of these places? If not, what are you basing your opinion on?I say Canada is the most anti-Catholic, (currently.)
I’m not so sure I would rely on the true accuracy of statistics between those who call themselves Catholic and those who devoutly follow and adhere to the strict teachings of the Catholic Church. In the end only God knows that answer.Have you worshiped in all of these places? If not, what are you basing your opinion on?
A quick wiki study shows 43% of Canadians listed their religion as Catholic compared to 25% in the US.
The same is true in Alberta. I have met many wonderful Catholics from all kinds of ethnicities, from the Latin Mass, the Ordinary Form Masses, the Ukrainians, etc. There are also “liberal” Catholics and non-religious too but Canada as a whole doesn’t have any official anti-Catholicism. There are some thuggish “Human Rights Tribunals” but they’re more for pushing (or being pushed by) the other agenda rather an attacking Catholicism per se.I’m not so sure I would rely on the true accuracy of statistics between those who call themselves Catholic and those who devoutly follow and adhere to the strict teachings of the Catholic Church. In the end only God knows that answer.
I really don’t see any substantial valid claim to make a bias statement laying claim that Canadian Catholics are any more anti-catholic than American Catholics, British Catholics, or French Catholics from France.
The massive Evil infection of Sucularism, Moral Relativism and Modernism effects all Christian Faiths equally.
From a personal humble opinion as a proud Canadian I’ve always looked up to many American Catholic brothers and sisters having a strong Catholic Faith. Something you have to witness yourself not just in meeting warm beautiful people here at CAF, most whom are Americans and many special people too from so many other nationalities.
I’ve traveled many times all throughout the U.S. meeting Catholics, relatives and non-catholics. Traveled to London, England and Dublin, Ireland.
I find you always have to open enough to look for the best in people instead of dwelling on the negative.
There’s enough ruddy negativity watching TV newscast and reading bias one sided reports from journalist in a newspaper.
Stay positive and you’ll find beautiful Catholics everywhere. Only negative deliberate blindness prevents us seeing goodness.
Peace
Chris
Proof?Canada is. I’ve never been there, or to any of the others that were listed -but Canada is by far the most anti-Catholic of the bunch.
A rather one-sided bias negative claim. What makes you make such a thesis. Pure popular hearsay?Canada is. I’ve never been there, or to any of the others that were listed -but Canada is by far the most anti-Catholic of the bunch.
Proof?Yes, it’s snowy old Canada… That’s the one.![]()
Proof?
I see. And you thought you’d just joke about this without indicating your intentions with an appropriate smiley, such as… Alright, you caught me -I’m just being a troublemaker.
Canada’s surely no more or less catholic than the US, and its a pretty country. Sometimes I can’t help myself on silly threads like this…![]()
Uh-huh…I see. And you thought you’d just joke about this without indicating your intentions with an appropriate smiley, such asor
