TOLEDO - The Canadian government, unhappy for many years with Washington’s belligerent foreign policy and fearful of its massive weapons stockpiles, decided last year to invade the U.S., seizing oil refineries and manufacturing plants, and establishing “regime change” to the delight of many of its neighbors to the south.

lol, good one

Their entire military force is about the size of our national guard.

And, they were unhappy about the recent Iraq war, but fully supportive of other military actions in recent history.

The title of this thread is a bit misleading…
As a graduate from Bowling Green State University, Toledo is our rival and anytime Toledo is mentioned, we tend to find a joke somewhere.

We thought Toledo would belong to Michigan. (In fact a minor ‘war’ between Ohio and the Territory of Michigan around 1837 WAS about who would claim Toledo from the Maumee River north. Well Ohio lost! Now if Canada wants Toledo, I am sure they could have it.

I try to be charitable, but nonsense like this is getting tiresome. If you can’t see the difference between democratically elected peaceful nations and murderous tyrrants who finance terrorism then I feel very sad for you.

I can’t believe that people can actually morally equate Saddam Hussien’s regime with the US goverment. Then again, it’s easy to protest the US–no harm that will come to you, unlike the brutal torture that would greet any Iraqi who protested Saddam. But hey, we’re the bad guys, right?

Being very proud to be Canadian, I really don’t like it when people bash us…however, it’s true. Due to awful government admins., our military sucks…

Actually the Canadian military force is smaller than the New York City Police Department.

I would hope that all the nations we give financial aid to would protest this, but then again we’ve been let down so much lately my hope would probably be in vain.

Actually, it’s about the same size as the National Guard of one state.

I’m in the MI National Guard as a Major in a Tank Battallion. Michigan alone has same number of tanks as Canada (2 Batallions). And theirs are older German Leopards.

Besides, being in a border town myself, I can attest that the borders are VERY well defended on both sides.

Trying to get US troops past all the Brewer’s Retails in Windsor is about as impossible as getting Canadian troops past all the Outlet Malls Stateside 😉

Any offensive would stall out within 5 miles of the border 😃
