"The CCCB has long been in need of major correction especially, since Vatican II, the Winnipeg abdication statement, and the secular embraced sexual and liberal revolutions, though the CCCB is certainly not alone in Bishop’s Conferences on the latter.

Pretty much all North American Catholic School Boards, (aka, secular affected… rather… infected ideology championed over traditional theology) headed (wink wink) by Bishops and Cardinals, ignore the New Catholic Catechism …’Green book’ as much as they did the old one…"

“…There was a very public (at least, well known within Catholic circles) battle between Pope Benedict XVI when he was Pope John Paul II’s right-hand man… and increasingly liberal North American Bishop Conferences, over ridiculous political correct changes to the official Roman Missal at the ‘insistence’ of the Bishops, some of which watered down, and a few that actually changed meaning, in Scriptural verses. I guess just more stumbling or growing pains in the free wheeling and apparently ambiguous ‘spirit’ of Vatican II…”

“…The Canadian Bishops bombed out big-time in their dis-united battle with the government over homosexual marriage and their cowardly ducking of tax exempt, removal… threats. The lone-hold out was renegade Bishop Fred Henry- well intentioned- but Marxist union backing/ physical participant.”

“From what I hear, some of the Canadian Bishops and a Cardinal wouldn’t mind being ‘allowed’ to retire…If this is so… they should be obliged by the Holy Father who has shown he is not shy to hand pick young and true priests on his own, to fill Bishop positions…”

The Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops issued many documents protesting the changes to the marriage law of Canada, and let the Government know their position in no uncertain terms, including a brief presented to the Special Legislative Committee on Bill C38 The Civil Marriage Act May 19, 2005; the Ash Wednesday 2005, Pastoral Letter to all Catholics in Canada on Redefining Marriage, urging them to let their representatives know their views on the proposed law; and the Brief presented to the Senate Standing Committee on Constitution and Legal Affairs, by Cardinal Ouellette of Quebec City on behalf of the Canadian Conference of Bishops. The Diocese of Nelson, where I live, and the Archdiocese of Vancouver both sponsored campaigns to let the Government know the Catholics’ position on this matter. I can hardly see how they “bombed out”.
