Prayer for the Sick

God of love and mercy
You inspired Catherine McAuley
To serve Your Son
By responding to the needs of her time.
Moved by her care for the sick,
We ask that through her prayers
You reach out with Your healing love
And restore Brian to full health.
We ask this in complete confidence
Through Jesus Christ, Your Son.

Amen.

Venerable Catherine, pray for us.

Blessed Pedro Calungsod,
Student, Catechist, Young Migrant,
Missionary, Faithful Friend, Martyr,
You inspire us
By your fidelity
In times of adversity;
By your courage in teaching the Faith
In the midst of hostility;
And by your live in shedding your blood
For the sake of the Gospel.

Make our troubles your own

Please join us in prayer
For the healing of Brian
Who has tongue cancer.

And interecede for us
Before the throne of Mercy and Grace
So that,
As we experience the help of Heaven,
We may be encouraged to live
And proclaim the Gospel here on earth.
Amen.

Prayer To Obtain A Favor Through The Intercession Of The Servant Of God,
Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen

Eternal Father, You alone grant us every blessing in Heaven and on earth, through the redemptive mission of Your Divine Son, Jesus Christ, and by the working of the Holy Spirit. If it be according to Your Will, glorify your servant, Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen, by granting the favor I now request through his prayerful intercession:

Please join us in prayer for the healing of Brian, from tongue cancer.

I make this prayer confidently through Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.

Brian was again in the hospital to have another tumor removed. It was successful. Although there was some serious problems, he recovered and is now home.

We are now moving on to a novena with the intention of praying to a Blessed for an intercession. We were told by a nun to do a special prayer which would be a novena. So some of us are offering up our daily routine, others a daily rosary and others a daily Mass. If you would be so kind as to offer a prayer on behalf of Brian’s full recovery, he and his family would be very appreciative.

Now here’s a problem. His Mom is open to any Blessed. She thought Pope John Paul II. Fine with me. I asked for a sign and when I turned on EWTN, it was about Archbishop Fulton Sheen. And when I came to this board, there was his picture…the last post. So what do you think?

Lord God, I pray for Brian’s recovery. Please restore him to good health. Be his source of strength as he he travels the road to recovery.

St. Peregrine, pray for him.
Blessed John Paul II, pray for him.

We are asking for Archbishop Sheen to intercede on Brian’s behalf. If you could offer up a prayer or whatever for the next nine days, it would be greatly appreciated. Our feeling is Sheen would have a special place in his heart for Brian. Sheen was a great orator. His tongue, voice box, and throat were his instruments through which he brought the Word. After it was decided to go with Sheen, his mother said it was an excellent choice because Brian had been a very good speaker before the cancer. God’s blessings to all and thank you.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

Remember oh most gracious Virgin Mary that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help, or sought thine intercession was left unaided. Inspired with this confidence I fly unto thee oh Virgin of virgins, my Mother. To thee I come, before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful. Oh Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions but in thy mercy hear and answer me. Amen.

Saint Peregrine, holy patron against cancer, please pray for this person who has a cancerous tongue. Amen.

Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. Amen.

**@TS: **Glad to hear that Servant of God, Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen’s prayer has made an intercession to Brian. Rest assured that we are all praying for Brian… I sent a private message to you by the way. God Bless. 🙂

**Continued prayers for his healing.
God Bless~

Watch, O Lord, with those who wake, or watch, or weep tonight,
and give Your angels and saints charge over those who sleep.

Tend Your sick ones, O Lord Christ.
Rest Your weary ones.
Bless Your dying ones.
Soothe Your suffering ones.
Pity Your afflicted ones.
Shield Your joyous ones, and all for Your love’s sake.
Amen.
