I have a conundrum. I am finishing chemotherapy this week for testicular cancer which had spread. The chemo will make birth defects likely for the next two years and the docs say we should avoid pregnancy. I also get married in 6 weeks.

My fiance has begun charting but it’s confusing! We need help, and prayers. Have others been in similar predicaments?

Blessings to you and your fiancée. And, prayers for your continued recovery.

I would suggest that she continue to chart and that you two remain continent until you have confidence. I don’t know what method she is charting but I suggest using Marquette Method with a fertility monitor and only the most conservative rules and post-ovulatory phase of the cycle for intimacy. She can add basal body temping to the Marquette Method as a cross check.
