Ok, so a friend told me something that have happened to her. Might be “tmi” for some, but it’s important information. She had a sexual dream, woke up still feeling dazed + “in the mood” and she thinks she succumbed to lust (porn, but probably impure actions as well), but like 10 seconds in, she told me she quickly got her s*** together and shut down her computer.
Now I wouldn’t say that this is a sin simply from these facts, but she told me that she doesn’t know if she was dreaming or just thinking. She says she woke up and then “fall asleep” and then all of this happened. Which could mean that she was tired but had these thoughts awake or at least she was half asleep. I asked her if she felt that she was in control of what happened, but she said at the time yes, but after she shut down her computer and everything, she was not sure
I’m so confused now, because I don’t know what to tell her? Is she being scrupulous? Or is her guilt there for a reason? Was “those 10 seconds” a sin? (I think yes actually, but then she said that she didn’t really get to do anything
and that she felt guilty and stopped, so is the “aroused/in the mood” thing she felt when she was awake lust or desire?)
I am also asking this because sometimes I feel like I kind of have this issue as well. When I think I’m half awake-at that time it felt like I have total control of my thoughts, but when I’m fully awake, I’m like “HELL NO” (Not necessarily lust, but unpleasant thoughts). So I’m also interested in your opinions.
