Ive heard alot of aruguments by Catholics gainst protatstant ecclesiolgy by stating how they cant have an authortative canon without a church, but my issue is wouldnt that be true for rome too in a sense. Due to Rome no dogmatizing the 73 book canon untill florence, any help

I dont follow. How is waiting to declare the canon equal to not having the authority to do so?

The Church that Christ started and that is headed in Rome worked for a long time to ensure the Canon of Sacred Scripture was as God willed it. A consensus however existed from the very first centuries.

That’s the whole point though. Tradition is necessary. Whether the canon is settled or not, the true faith is still handed on by the power of the Holy Spirit in the Church.

The Catholic canon has remained unchanged since the Council of Rome, organized and hosted by Jerome in 382 on behalf of Pope Damasus. Subsequent councils such as Carthage and Trent simply repeated the same list of canonical books.
