You can click “to show links to the concordance”, but honestly, I tend to use the copy at IntraText’s site more. The Vatican copy has at least one error. :eek:

(on this page canons 1251 and 1252 are run together. The canons appear correctly on the page without links)

That error doesn’t bode well. Isn’t there a webmaster we could contact about that? I’m certain the Vatican wouldn’t want to put material online that is incorrect, especially when they are responsible for creating it. Maybe it’s something to write the pope about:

"His Holiness Benedict XVI,

Your website has some errors here.

Peace of Christ,
(Name)"

I wonder how that would go?
 
By the way, if you ever want to read the Code of Canon law in Latin here’s the place to be.

One last thing, this website may help you with the Code of Canon Law.

I sent a message to 0ffice@net.va, which is their internet office. I will let you know I get excommunicated. 🙂

Um…to be honest, I did write to a contact at the Vatican and he half-corrected it. :o

As I’d noted [post=69413]in this post[/post], the unlinked page used to exhibit the same error. This past September I found a contact at the Vatican and he corrected it* (but only the unlinked page, not the one with links). I pointed that out to him, but he did not do anything about it. I suppose I ought to try again.

(* I could have sworn I’d noted this achievement in these fora, but I could not find such a post – I guess I was more :o humble than I’d thought)

The email I sent looked like this (the names have been changed to protect the innocent; I have no idea regarding the accuracy of the Italian translation):

I knew there had to be someone to contact. I doubt that anyone would post a website without a contact address, unless they have reason to hide out.

Aw, so you mean the Vatican’s contact name isn’t actually Mr. X? I’m sure half the people there have that name!

Pope Benedict: “Mr. X…”
(Fifty men stand up.)
Mr. X’s (In unison): “Yes your Holiness!”

There’s an army of Mr. X’s at the Vatican! I just know it.

Note that the Vatican copy uses the current version of canon 750, while the IntraText site uses the original 1983 version of that canon.
