Can't believe what we've been through

But you and I both know that RCIA programs vary from one place to another. In my parish the only person to be received into full communion in the 15 years that I’ve been here was prepared by a Sister who was in full agreement with gay marriage and women as priests and thought it was OK not to go to Mass on Sunday. In fact, that’s what she taught to parents preparing for the Baptism of their children. Do you think this person received much in the way of ‘Catholic teaching’ before she was confirmed?
Phemie, She went through RCIA as in… she is not a cradle catholic. I stand by my response, we are to seek the truth that the church teaches. And if we find that we have been led to believe something ,other than what the church teaches, are we not then morally responsible to rectify that belief or decision? Thus the question: Has your husband sought to begin the annulment process. That is what they need to do. Sounds to me like a blame game, instead of let’s do what we know to be right in the eyes of the church, and trust in our Lord. The master of lies will do whatever he can to keep people away from Jesus Christ, and His church.

Kate,

It sounds a very frustrating time. You are both in my prayers. Keep trusting in Jesus and keep loving and supporting each other (I’m sure you’re doing those things anyway).

God bless - and hang in there!

Michael
