It should be noted that “Young Catholics For Choice” purports to be the youth arm of “Catholics for Choice.” That group (CFC) was initially “Catholics for a Free Choice,” or CFFC, and was for a long time presided over by Frances Kissling, who was, if I recall correctly, the first president of the National Abortion Federation.

There was, and is nothing Catholic about “Catholics for Choice.” I don’t know what it’s membership was or is; the organization seems to exist primarily for the purpose of opposing Catholic sexual morality, and for obtaining grants with which to carry on its purposes.

I guess that I thought that our young Catholics in Wisconsin were more intelligent than this fiasco would indicate. I suspect that behind every one of them is a set of Wisconsin parents who themselves have ignored or glossed over Church teaching on these matters. :sad_bye:

And it may be that YFFC is an organization composed more of paper than of people. But paper can be used to obtain grants and contributions.
