Can't focus on my schoolwork

I have always had a hard time concentrating and focusing on my work. But not until now have I considered praying and asking for prayers to help me concentrate. My ability to focus and concentrate are so poor that unless I learn to improve my concentration and focus I will not be able to succeed much longer in school or whatever vocation or job I pursue later on. Please ask God to help me with improving my focus and concentration and ability to do extended pieces of writing and projects. If God can help me find ways to concentrate better, I don’t know how I can possibly be thankful enough. Thank you all for your prayers.
 
St. Michael the Archangel,
defend us in battle.
Be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the Devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray,

O Prince of the heavenly hosts,
by the power of God,
thrust into hell Satan,
and all the evil spirits,

look upon Writer for God in this time
of weakness and unrest.

Teach her searching heart
to know that God’s Love
for her is unchanging and

true human love can only
begin and grow by touching
His Love.

Let your gentle Peace -
which this world cannot give
  • be always with her.
    And, help her to bring this
    same Peace into the lives
    of others.

Offering up doing my school work this evening and tomorrow for your intentions!

Give up your desire to do something other than your work, and then offer this mortification as a prayer for someone who is suffering. It’s a powerful motivator 👍

Praying for you. May I make a suggestion? Pray a Hail Mary every day for the intention of improved concentration.
 
Prayer for Focus on Schoolwork

Dear Father! I draw near You to seek Your help for my studies; I have the assurance that You love me so very much. Hence, listen to my cries O Lord!Lord ! the Scripture says that You love the prosperity of Your children. You know the importance of studies through which only I can have a bright future. O fountain of all wisdom and knowledge, give me Your guidance and let me learn my lessons properly.Lord! I confess that I get distracted easily; I have more interest in unwanted things rather in my studies. Please forgive me and gird me with You grace and strength so that I concentrate in my studies. Without Your help I cannot achieve any success Lord! So help me to overcome all my weaknesses and strengthen my mind. Take full control of my wandering thoughts and give me Your wisdom and knowledge. Let me shine in my studies O Lord and let me be a blessing to my family. I thank You in advance for answering my prayer. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
 
Offering up a prayer for you!

Maybe turning it into a competition or “game” for yourself will help you stay focused for longer spurts of time. Try having a study buddy, or someone to hold you accountable.

Also, have you been screened for attention or learning disorders? I’ve personally come to the conclusion that I may have ADD, and am looking into getting diagnosed and treated. Seriously, the amount of time and effort it’s taking to concentrate on schoolwork is…ridiculous.
