Capuchin televangelist - I can't remember his name. Does anyone know?

I recently saw an exhibit at the Capuchin museum in Rome, about one of their friars who had a long-running “Catholic Answers”-type program on Italian TV. It had a title like “Father So-and-so’s Mail” and people would mail him in questions about the Catholic faith, and he would answer them in detail on the show. The show was very popular and ran for decades until the priest either retired or died or both. I thought this was very interesting as I had never heard of him, probably because his show was in Italian and obviously didn’t run in the US, but I wanted to look up more about him on the web when I had more time.

Unfortunately I have forgotten the name of the Capuchin Father So-and-so who hosted the show.

Does anyone know who I’m talking about and can help me out here by giving me his name?

I don’t know Bear, but for a moment there, I thought you meant the poor priest was afflicted with memory loss and could even recall his own name. I knew a wonderful Carmelite priest who progressively developed dementia, so the misread of your title made me sad. He was one of the two kindest priests I ever knew. Passed to his reward now … he was regarded as quite character but to me he remains one of two priests who truly showed me the kindness of Jesus.

Father Bernard and Father Vince, may God bless you both, and as you both blessed me.
God grant the blessings you left behind in others lives, will continue to transform lives and hearts,
as please,
grant that the priest whom Bear mentions, continues to do

Trishie, I can add your two priests to my weekly devotion for priests’ souls. It will be about a year and three months before their week comes up because I currently have about 60 deceased priests in my queue and the devotion is done once a week for one priest, but I’ll put them on the list.
