Car accident settlement

Hi everyone I would like to ask for a special prayer for my daughter and I. We were in an accident involving a vehicle that failed to make a yeild and crossed the right of way path that I was heading east on a one way lane. I was on the right lane and another vehicle was next to me. This person who was crossing south on this street said he had not seen my vehicle only the one next to me so he took the chance to cross over. All I remember is seeing him right in front of me and then we crashed.

The insurance company is blaming me for 20% percent at fault even if I know I was on the right of way and that it was impossible to have seen him until he was right in front of me. How can a person avoid an accident like this when you have just a split second to react. I am living check by check and I do not harm to noone. I go to mass on Sundays and now I am a Catechist in my church. I did not ask for this to happen and I feel I am not at fault. Please pray for us . This person should take full responsibilty for his actions. I have not extra money available to carry the burden to pay all these bills yet at 20% its still to much money to come up with. God please touch the other party involved, and the insurance people to lighten their will towards me and look at my situation. My car was just a 2002 and I depend on it to get me to work and for my daughters school activities. Now I am without a car because it it totalled. I cannot afford another vehicle.

Sorry about your troubles and I will pray for you. Over 2 years ago I was rear-ended by a man in his truck. He was cited and I filed a claim with his insurance as our car and my arm and hand were hurt. Over this period of time, trying to be a decent human being, I dealt directly with his insurance company attempting to have my medical bills repaid to my insurance company, and my out of pocket expenses and time covered. Eventually I tired of this and saw a lawyer who wanted to take the case and triple or quadruple the settlement I was seeking. When I told the insurance company I had seen a lawyer and they could either settle fairly with me or I was done, they paid up. The moral for me is don’t try to handle things by yourself at this time, go see a lawyer. The visit is free at first and maybe they can help. God bless you.
 
Thank you all for your prayers. I had seeked for a lawyer because my daughter and I were hurting from our upper, lower backs, and shoulder blades. The attorney has gotten therapy for us, but in the other side of my vehicle at first she had told me that she was going to help me with getting my case to get vehicle damages, medical, and losses. Now that I made an interview over the phone with the other party’s insurance company. They are blaming me at 20% at fault. I do not understand how I could be at fault if I was driving east on a two lane oneway to the east, and a truck crossed over the street heading south. He had failed to make a stop and when the accident happened he said that he had only seen the other vehicle and not mine and he thought he could make it across the road. I am not seeking for extra money just for justice. My family are close to poverty. I cannot afford a vehicle and we need it to move around. I am scared that my lawyer told me yesturday that on my car part I am on my own and that she is only going to fight medical. The other party’s insurance wants for me to pay my 20% on towing and storage for my vehicle and to remove it from the pound so that I will not get any charges starting today and furthermore. I feel inside my heart and my mind that if I do this. If I get my car out of the (name removed by moderator)ound and pay the 20%, that I am admiting at fault that amount. I know God knows I braked as much as I could there was alot of traffic and thank God this did not involve more vehicles. I know my God is great and he knows I mean no harm to noone. I just want justice. I pray that he will guide me and heal my daughter and I inside out and that he will touch the hearts of those who are making this impossible. I have faith on all the angels and saints. Please continue to pray for us…
