Hi,
Sunday evening I came home from visiting my father on Father’s Day. A little before 7pm I heard a crash outside. I grabbed my phone and ran out, thinking someone might have been hurt in an accident. No one was hurt, but someone drove into my car which was parked in my driveway and severely damaged it, and then drove away. I didn’t see the car or the accident, but someone across the street saw it. I called the police and they came and talked to me and the person who saw the accident. They had a lead, and eventually found the person who did it. He was driving someone else’s car which was not insured. He is being charged for criminal hit and run.

But I want to ask for prayers because I have to get the damage appraised and figure out whether it can be repaired or if I need a new car. I do not have a lot of income and this is very anxiety producing. I have never had to deal with insurance because I never have had an accident. Please just pray that I am able to either fix my car, which might not be possible, or get a suitable replacement.

Also, please pray for the person who hit my car. He obviously has problems and there might have been drug use involved.

I had a car accident last summer that left my car totalled. Someone ran a red light and the truck trailer hit the front of my car as I was pulling out. Thankfully I saw them before getting in the middle of the intersection, but it still left me shaken. My car didn’t look totalled, but both insurance companies said it was (the person who hit me was driving a company truck, so at least it was also insured). Going through the whole insurance process was hard, but it was eventually resolved.

Praying that you have a favorable outcome.

Prayer To St. Aloysius Gonzaga

Dear St. Aloysius Gonzaga, you are the patron saint of youth because you died so young and in such a state of holiness. You are best known for your virtues of purity and repentance. Please intercede for all adolescents today who are growing up in a culture that discourages those very virtues. You were fortunate to have two Saints as your spiritual directors: St. Charles Borromeo and St. Robert Bellarmine. Pray that our young people may find role models in the Church that they can look up to and strive to emulate, just as their mentors strive to emulate Jesus.
Because of your kindness and compassion St. Aloysius, I also ask you to intercede on the behalf of all those who have posted intentions today, and for people who have asked for my prayers. Pray that we may all be as zealous for God’s glory and as charitable to our neighbor as you were, even to the point of risking our lives for them. Pray that we may all see you in the Kingdom to come and be able to thank you face to face. Amen.

I will be saying a Rosary later today for all the prayer intentions I have tagged on CAF today. I will add the intentions for your car situation to be swiftly resolved, for your anxiety to improve, and for the driver of the other car, to today’s list. May God bless you and calm you and may He help the other driver before more damage or even harm to another person is done. In Jesus’ Name I pray. Amen.
