Car repair going to cost $4,000......please pray for me

My only vehicle broke down. Mechanic says it’s a $4,000 job which…I don’t have.

Please pray I get an affordable solution soon.

Our priest said a prayer for me as well at Confession that my burden can be lightened.
$4,000 is all of our savings and beyond. I guess take out a bank loan?

***And for all the PM’s I’m getting, it is a 2007 Toyota Tundra. Toyota/dealer isn’t budging on anything 😦
 
Wow. Not worth it. Just buy another car and drive it til it dies. My current car (a fully loaded Cadillac) cost me only a few hundred dollars because it didn’t run and the owner didn’t know why. I replaced the starter myself and since then have only done a tuneup and replaced a wheel bearing as well as some work on the security system. You should probably get rid of the one needing $4000 in repair as it’s probably not worth it. Just buy another car. Mine is the most reliable car I’ve ever owned, despite also being the cheapest. Will never get scammed by the auto corporations with a new car nor the mechanic telling me I need repairs that I know I don’t. Start with a high end well built car and do preventative maintenance and you should never find yourself in this situation. Imports are JUNK, especially overpriced Asian tin cans. Highly overrated.

Has to be a more reasonable mechanic somewhere…and I’m sure he’d love your business.

I have my own mechanic that I go to…really don’t fool with the dealer much because they charge twice as much for the same job.
