On the day that a Catholic School bus, decorated with pro-life signs and symbols of the Catholic Faith, was fire bombed in Rockford, Illinois, the local news chose to run a 12 year old story that put pro-lifers in a bad light instead. There was no mention of the horrific incident involving a bus that carried children. The above link takes you to the story of a vehicle arson that did make the news.

I checked the other Rockford news sources for information regarding the bus fire, but couldn’t find anything on the websites of:

WROK AM 1440 (a news radio station)

WIFR TV 23 (CBS)

WQRF TV 39 (Fox)

WREX TV 13 (NBC)

So I decided to check police department records. They show a car arson at 1 AM on Friday, which is mentioned in the first link cited in the first post. However, police records don’t show any bus arson.

According to THE BLAZE, "an employee at the Rockford Fire Department confirmed that authorities arrived at the scene around 3 a.m
The newspaper has reported that the case is still under investigation by the Rockford Fire Department and they are "awaiting comment regarding the suspected motivation of the attack. "
