I don’t gamble on Conclave results and don’t recommend it. But for what it’s worth, Cardinal Burke has gone from 100 to 1 to 17 to 1.

I pray he is elected.
 
I chose him and another cardinal to pray for in the thread in Spirituality, praying for 118 companions. I don’t know much about him, but what I do know, I like.
 
If it is God’s will, May Cardinal Burke be our Pope! Or the Cardinal from Siri Lanka.
 
We shud pray that God’s will shall be done and not cardinal X or Y.Our example is Jesus at gathsemene
“f this cup cannot pass by, but I must drink it, your will be done”

I have been praying for whomever God believes will lead us in the right direction. However, in my heart of hearts, I believe that man to be Cardinal Burke. Whether God agrees and whether the Cardinal-Electors feel the same way is another story entirely, obviously.

As I noted in another thread, with Pope Benedict’s pontificate being short at 8 years, there has not been time for his reforms and initiatives to really come to fruition. As such, I believe what we need is a Holy Father who will continue and even build upon the direction that Pope Benedict took us during his reign. I believe it would be a mistake to change directions or focus right now without continuing down the path we were on for some time yet. To me, the best man to do that is Cardinal Burke.

According to whom? Are these people who are making these odds people who have connections to the cardinals?

Personally I expect that there are several men who would do a fine job being Pope and that the Lord will be pleased.
 
I think we will have an American Pope and it will be Cardinal O’Malley.

Was I nervous? 🙂 (to be honest, I was being sarcastic)

Just think that it’s weird for people to be making odds on papal elections LOL 😃
 
Well, we can pretty much put this thread to rest. Its not Cardinal Burke, obviously, but from everything I have seen, Pope Francis was a good choice.
