Cardinal Martini unwilling to celebrate TLM

For what it’s worth, at one point the FSSP had a rule that their priests could only say the older Mass; that issue was appealed by some in the Order, and the Order was taken to task over the matter; they (the head of the Order) were told they could not prevent members from saying the newer Mass. The comment in the release of the MP effectively relates to that dust-up.
 
I am several years older than C.Martini,I had no wayof persuing a college degree but since my family goes back many many generations nothing else would do.I was lucky worked my way working in a Jesuit rectory,not a casual pursuit knew many Jesuit two of whom will always be in my fondest memories(almost became one) The Jesuits of the 1940,s were supurbly educated men devouted priest and supurb educators. Began to notice change when I took my oldesat daughter to register at Alma Mater.Worked very hard at my profession and had very little time for church affairs. Degan reading the books of Rev Malachi Martin studing Vatican 11 the statements of C Tisseriant etc…
Isn,t the prime purpose of the Jesuit order to be the foot soldier of the Holy Father?

No. The prime purpose of the Jesuit order is to serve God and His Church. One of the particular charisms of the Jesuit order is that they do not, like other orders, decide in isolation what their apostolates will be, but work in whichever apostolates the Pope condsiders are most in need of them. You seem to be implying that this means that no Jesuit can ever offer an opinion which differs in the slightest detail from anything said by the current Pope. You are mistaken.
 
I think I confused you,my literary skills have deteriorated over the years,let me see if I can be a little more erudite. I have been confused with the present Jesuit order (Malachi Martin) and now you tell me that a Jesuit,a prince of the Catholic church is defing the order of the Holy Father on thhe latin mass and building himself a tomb in Palestine??? I have been confused with the clergy molestation of children,the loss and feminazation of our monastries,the loss of our Catholic nuns,the confusion of the third secret of Fatima.I will be charitable and leave out Vatican11. I will always be confident that Jesus will always be with us until the end of time…Please do not respond to this email I don,t think you or any one else could my mind to ease Thanks.

You’re confused all right. No I don’t think anyone could put your mind at ease, though maybe if you actually read what the V2 Fathers said instead of leaving it out you might understand. May I point out thought that I did NOT say that Cd Martini was defying the pope on any issue. He is not. B16 did not order anyone to say Mass in Latin nor does he order Cardinals how and where they may be buried.

This is a rather uncharitable way to respond to a man in his 80’s who obviously loves the Church.

Your previous reply to this man wasn’t much better. How naive to imply that the Jesuit order hasn’t changed drastically in its orthodoxy and allegiance to the Holy Father. If your posts weren’t so rude, it would almost be funny.
