Yes I’ve toured it in Rome. Nicely decorated but we were instructed not to touch anything and to wash our hands thoroughly as soon as we left.
Good day friend in Christ Jesus,

I read your reply but I do not understand the context.

I am in the process of reading the English translation about the “lobby” and I confess to major confusion about how such a lobby could ever come about.

My hope is that some senior member or possibly even a Priest of the Faith might post on this thread with some guidance as to what is happening and possibly how it happened at all.

I am in the process of converting to the Catholic Church and this will in no way even slow that process for I feel that I have finally found the home for my spiritual life and I will work hard to learn as much and implement as much as I can in whatever life I have left before God Almighty Calls me for Final Judgement.

May Almighty God and Christ Jesus Bless you and Keep you,

OAD/Richard

Until they come along I will offer this…

Our first Pope denied Christ three times.

The Church that Jesus founded is perfect. Those within it not so much. 🙂

Welcome Home to the One True Church!

Maybe that is why our Holy Father hasn’t talked too much about Same Sex Marriage. First he is trying to clean up his own house.

I just wanted to say thank you so much for the responses.

I have to admit that I was really taken aback by the thread and actually kind of stunned.

Your words in return have been of great comfort to me and they are truly appreciated.

Thank you does not come close to relating my true feelings.

Here is the CNA article in English:

Vatican City (CNA/EWTN News) - The Honduran newspaper El Heraldo asked the cardinal whether there actually was an attempted or successful “infiltration of the gay community in the Vatican.”

Cardinal Maradiaga responded: “Not only that, also the Pope said: there was even a ‘lobby’ in this sense.”

“Little by little the Pope is trying to purify it,” he continued. “One can understand them, and there is pastoral legislation to attend to them, but what is wrong cannot be truth.”

Cardinal Maradiaga is the Archbishop of Tegucigalpa, Honduras and the coordinator of the Council of Cardinals who advise Pope Francis on the reform of the Curia.

His interview, published Jan. 12, also touched on some perceptions about Pope Francis.

The newspaper said some people have interpreted Pope Francis’ other remarks to think there was a possibility the Church would support same-sex marriage.

The cardinal rejected this possibility.

“No, we must understand that there are things that can be reformed and others cannot,” he said. “The natural law cannot be reformed. We can see how God has designed the human body, the body of the man and the body of a woman to complement each other and transmit life. The contrary is not the plan of creation. There are things that cannot be changed.”

Ah, my post was a joke, pretending the word “Lobby” meant an actual room, like the lobby of a hospital.

Richard, Our Savior Jesus gave us the Catholic Church and it will stand until the end of time. It was prefigured by Noah’s Ark, and unsinkable ship that saves all those on board from the great flood. Designed and sustained by God, but through the hands of an imperfect man.

Just hours after Jesus himself consecrated the first 12 Bishops, 1 of those Bishops betrayed him for a little bit of money, and then 10 others, the Pope included, abandoned him in fear. The only Bishop left was St. John who stood at the Cross with Our Blessed Mother as our Lord suffered and died. Despite this, St. John never broke union with his brother Bishops and when 10 of them returned, they went out together and evangelized the whole world.

Whenever you see conflicts among the men that God has placed within the hierarchy of the Church, do not let it shake your faith. You’re on the ark! If you were on the physical ark, weathering a storm, and happened to see the man in the wheel house was a drunk lunatic, you wouldn’t throw yourself overboard into the sea, you would simply hold on tighter. So if you ever encounter scandals or problems within the Church, remember that Judas was a Bishop and betrayed Our Lord, there will always be conflicts but never let it shake your faith. For every suspected ‘Judas’ there are just as many (if not more) St. Johns.

A top adviser to Pope Francis has acknowledged the existence of a “gay lobby” within the Vatican, and said that the Pontiff is moving to address the problem.Cardinal Oscar Rodriguez …

You just made an old man’s day.

I am going to save your reply for when my times get rough because they are the kind of words that can give a person strength.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart!
