Cardinal Sarah on the Liturgy

Fr. Z. offers some reflections on Cardinal Sarah’s latest book–”The Power of Silence.” From the excerpts given, it seems that Cardinal Sarah has a great concern that the liturgy retain its essence as the supreme act of worship.

I think Cardinal Sarah makes some very good points in the little blurb that was at the link you provided. His desire for more Catholics to get back to a sacred silence and contemplation of the Lord is wonderful!

I love the idea of Cardinal Sarah being our next Pope. I love him. And, boy wouldn’t it turn the world upside down? All is good ways.

Ordinarily I would have waited for this to be translated into English, but the full title* is so powerful that I simply had to get my hands on it ASAP. My copy should arrive in the mail today.

I read it on a recent business trip. It is an incredible book.
