Perhaps a better criticism of Pfleger is his heretical call for women priests, bishops, cardinals, and married priests contrary to the teaching of the Church. Defiant even. Or perhaps numerous invitations to pro-abortion and race-baiting speakers such as Rev. Jeremiah Wright, Louis Farrakhan, or Al Sharpton to speak at his parish are better criticisms—like when he invited Harry Belafonte to speak there who was sure to articulate his support for a “woman’s right to abortion.” Or perhaps when he threatened the owner of a firearms store in 2007. Or when he made racist remarks about Hillary Clinton in 2008. Or perhaps when he derails from the text of the Eucharistic prayers, abandoning the prayer of the Church, and into his own soliloquy.
