What are your thoughts on the card game, “Cards Against Humanity”? If you haven’t played it, it is an adult version of apples to apples basically. not adult as in porn or anything, but just many of the cards are on more adult topics. (Sex, politics, crude humor, ect). It really is ‘over the top’ in just about every way you can think of, but it is also a fun game with friends.
I’ve played it a few times, and it certainly does not cause me to have any impure thoughts or desires or anything like that. In addition, on every occasion that I’ve played it, it opened up opportunities in the conversation to talk about moral/religious topics that likely wouldn’t have come up with the same crowd without the game.
I’ve used those opportunities to share Church teachings, explain why something is immoral and that type of thing, all in a very non-threatening/casual way, which I think is quite effective. It lets people think things through, without feeling attacked or like they have to defend their position immediately.
Anyway, what are your thoughts on this type of game? I know it certainly isn’t for everyone, but I enjoy it and like the opportunities to witness for my faith it has provided.
