Curious what moral issues you think cause wide separation.

The only moral issue that I know of that Catholics and evangelicals (of which Assemblies of God is one) disagree upon is artificial contraception.

Other than that Catholics and Evangelicals are much more close on moral issues than say Catholics and liberal Protestant.

Well I think some people would not see any similiarity between the two…when I would say they have several things in common that would not put them at the bottom for being completely unlike them.
Of course they are not as close as the other groups I mentioned but there are SOME things in common that for a example a Baptist would not use.

Consider me highly skeptical without a source.

Assembly of God is an evangelical denomination. It is inconsistent for any evangelical denomination to support homosexual marriage.

I think you are confusing Assembly of God with somebody else.

At every turn the Assemblies of God refutes the practice, the acceptance, and the promotion of homosexuality, yet admonishes all Christians to reach out in love to all homosexuals so they too may repent and know the forgiveness and grace of our Lord Jesus Christ.

MEA CULPA, MEA MAXIMA CULPA!!!

Relying on just my memory, I indavertantly and mistakenly, confused two different denominations.

It is the United Church of Christ that I was thinking of and the vote took place in 2005. msnbc.msn.com/id/8463741/

After some quick checking, it appears that the Assembly of God repudiates homosexual marriage.

Please forgive me. I most certainly did not mean to slander. This was an honest mistake made because I relied on my memory.

Thank you, Mozart, for making me check my facts and giving me the opportunity to correct this most egregious error of mine.

To anyone offended, I apologize and humbly as for forgiveness.
