I been in my industry for over 10 years. I am very good and skilled in my career, but as of now, I am not happy because the type of people I work with. Top management people are very political, they overwork me because they know they can, they don’t talk to me because Im not on their level, most of the time I don’t interact and Im glued to my computer. I do all the work while they don’t. I just feel dissapointed because I changed jobs 3 times, and I always run into self-centered, narcasistic, power hungry people (I am in marketing). I been thinking maybe is time to change careers. I felt since high school God calling me to become a Marriage and Family Therapist, as Catholic I think I will be able to help people. But what held me back is that graduate school is expensive and I would need to quit my day job to focus in school, and take a huge pay cut. Also, I am 30 and single, Im afraid I am delaying my years for having kids too. But Is something that I am interest in since I will be helping people, I feel I have the gift of healing, and I assume this type of industry attracts caring and empathetic people. If someone can advice me about the MFT industry, career changes that would be great. I appreciate it!
