Is there any free website online that has Catholic instructions for handling, washing, and folding Mass Linens (Corporal, Purificator, Amice, Altar Cloths, Alb, etc.)? I know there are several books, but I need a free online website page that contains the instructions and pictures. Thank You!

After reading your post I googled “Caring for Liturgical Linens” and found quite a few web sites regarding this subject.

Try it, I believe you may find what you are looking for.

No pictures, but the U.S. Bishops’ website has an article on the subject to get you started: usccb.org/liturgy/innews/032001.shtml . Scroll down to the article “The Care and Cleansing of Altar Linens.” I particularly like the suggestion that “It is appropriate for those who care for sacred vessels, cloths and other instrumenta of the liturgy to accompany their work with prayer.”

As for purificators and corporals, one priest at a retreat for Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion told us that they should be rinsed three times in the sacrarium before being laundered at home. I don’t know whether his practice is unusual, but it does give me an extra moment for prayer as noted above. Rinsing purificators in the sacrarium immediately after Mass and hanging them to dry is the duty of the Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion at our parish, but I don’t think our own pastor ever said anything about three times.
