funny story, one day, my partners brother in law gave a homeless guy one of our company hats. a few weeks later, when they are rounding everybody up, he turned up on the news that night with the hat on!😛
They love their hats! Great advertisement gimmick:D

that was a baseball cap. we having stocking caps now, they should be a big hit.

twenty! what a great advertising campaign! we should have catholic answers caps made up to give out to the homeless. mods?

😉 I think it’s best keeping it to your partners brother in law only. Cha cheeng!!

One couple with a small business opened up their doors to a homeless man and set him up with a small room which use to be a small office. I spoke with him briefly now he’s out their looking for work. He’s a little discouraged of the prospects but yet he still looks. Thanks to all those that allow space for the homeless during these holiday time. There was indeed a ‘Room in this Inn’🙂 Merry Christmas

I would like to thank businesses :clapping:that allow the homeless and the marginalized access to their bathrooms. Sometimes there are areas which have no quick access to bathrooms or many business close up by 5pm so this leaves few available bathrooms for them to use at night or early morning. City council members should add bathrooms to their cities parks and community stores and offices and at minimally offer some porto potties where the homeless congregate. Pax

I know our church gives alot of money to local homeless people, many times, their will be a group of these people waiting on the priest to finish with mass, and then they will all swarm him when he is walking to the rectory…I dont think they give them much money, maybe $20-$50. each time, but I do know they do it with no questions asked.

Its possible some are using it for drugs, or other things, but some may be also using it for food, clothing, so I think its best to give them the money, after all, I dont think its a good thing to start asking a bunch of questions when you are trying to help someone out…let them choose what they want to do with the money.

In my opinion, this is a great thing, some other church members dont like our priests doing this, but then again, these people drive new luxury cars to mass, wear very expensive clothes, shoes, jewelry, etc. so I think they may just have a problem in general with homeless people to begin with…sad, but in our church, we seem to have alot of people who like to ‘show off’ when coming to church.

On another note, we live in KY, and it gets pretty cold here in winter, sometimes as low as single digits!!! I could never understand why anyone that is homeless would stay in such an area… If I suddenly became homeless, I would do anything i could to get to a warmer area, anyway I could…If im going to be homeless, I would at least want to be in an area that is accommodating to living outdoors…seems like common sense to me.
