We are consecrated religious in the Catholic Church and members of a Congregation founded by Mother M. Angeline Teresa McCrory, O.Carm , Servant of God, dedicated to the service and care of the Aged and Infirm, in the spirit and tradition of the Carmelite Order.

We are women who share a vision that love makes a difference in the world. We are diverse in age, background and training but are united in our belief that life is precious, from the moment of conception to its natural end. Our story is tied to the story of every man and woman at the autumn of life - their joys and sorrows, their pains and consolations, their love of family, their hopes and dreams, their search for God and their finding Him. Our life is about holding the hand of an aged person and giving meaning to their lives. It is about being a mother, a sister, a daughter and a friend to someone who is another’s mother, sister, friend and loved one.

We are Carmelites who follow the Rule of Saint Albert and are nourished by the tradition and examples of Saint Elias, Mary, St. Teresa, St. Therese and many holy men and women of the Carmelite Order. We follow the example and vision of our foundress, Mother Angeline Teresa McCrory, O.Carm., Servant of God. We minister to Christ in the person of the elderly but always return to the spiritual mount of our prayer and contemplation.

I support the canonization process of Mother Angeline Teresa. I would like to know what stage the process has reached.

The Diocesan Phase of investigation conducted by the Diocese of Albany on the life, virtues, writings of the Servant of God, as well as statements given by those who knew her and those favors received from Mother Angeline Teresa was already completed. All the documents were sealed and shipped to Rome for the next step of investigation. In a script dated June 27, 2008, the Congregation for the Causes of Saints issued a decree of “Juridical Validation” for the Diocesan Investigation into the life and virtues of Mother Angeline. In effect, this means that the Congregation in Rome thoroughly reviewed all of the steps taken by the Albany Tribunal all of the testimonies, historical records, correspondence and documentation gathered over 15 long years of work, and concluded that everything was done according to proper procedures and was found to be canonically valid and complete. So now, the ball is in Rome’s court and they will proceed with the next step, which is a detailed study of her life and virtues. Please pray that God will reward this faithful and courageous woman of faith with the honor she deserves and bless our Church with another example of holiness!
