Same for me. **I’ve never cried over a celebrity death before, but I cried when I heard the news. **

And now I just heard that Debbie Reynolds passed today. What a horrible two days for this family. Prayers for all of them.
I cried when Jimmy Stuart died – his work had a profound effect on my adolescent years, and I was so grateful for that.

I cried for Carrie Fisher as well, but mostly because her snarky yet vulnerable Princess Leia reminds me so much of my cousin who is around the same age… and also because of how she shared her personal struggles so as to help others.

And now with the news that Debbie Reynolds died today, I’m just so sorry for the tremendous grief of this family. Praying for them all.

She has died, but so has her franchise, and unlike her, cannot rest in peace - victim to the mediocre necromancy of Mammon.

*Don’t cry for me Argentina
For I am ordinary, unimportant
And undeserving of such attention
Unless we all are, I think we all are.

Ride on my train, all my people
And when it’s your turn to die, you’ll remember
They fired those cannons, sang lamentations
Not just for Eva, for Argentina
Not just for Eva, for everybody.

So share my glory, so share my coffin
So share my glory, so share my coffin.

[Che: It’s our funeral too.]*
