Do any of you have any knowledge of or experience with praying the Carthusian rosary (as opposed to the more traditional Dominican form)? I had heard a little about it before, and just found the mysteries at: geocities.com/hashanayobel/homilies/pensieri/Rosary3.htm

This form has an appeal to me, as it seems like a good way to reflect on the whole life of Christ in a single sitting, pausing along the way on particular mysteries as one is moved to.

Thanks SPQR… its a very interesting way of praying my favorite prayer…the rosary… and I am attracted to carthusian liturgy and writings so this works for me as well…btw, I have a recording of unaccompanied gregorian chant by cathusian monks…a taste of heaven on earth

If you want to read a book by a great carthusian… here is a link for you… I have been reading his works for 20 years. Truly timeless and excellent writings…

Its still available… chant with no accompanyment…impregnated with spirituality… I come away feeling closer to God after every audition of these chanted prayers. Sublime beyond words…the day you listen to it you will regret having waited to hear it… Hope you enjoy it.

Ahh, yes. I have, of course, seen the film (was lucky enough in fact to see it in a nice quiet theater on the big screen.)

Yes the movie is over two hours of peace and meditation. A gift from above.

The books you mentioned are good…I have read one that was translated into french… I believe this author has a series of books published in both english and french. However, my preference is still Dom Augustin Guillerand. I’m sure you will enjoy his works.
I never tire of reading them.
