I don’t know enough about Islam to say whether it is a religion of peace.

Arabs however have a historic bent towards the violent. It is nice that after Islam started they stopped burying their daughters but what a “peaceful” solution to lack of a son. Henry VIII committed adultery and left the Church to get a son but he never considered murdering Princess Mary or later Princess Elizabeth. These cartoons are offensive but that is one thing we have in the West that they don’t want.

If GWB’s plans in Iraq fail what is the only other option? You can’t talk to these kind of people. They want to destroy us and if we can’t chage them then we will have to kill them.

I know it is against morality to start a nuclear war. Would it be wrong to finish one if a rogue state or group nuked Europe, us or Israel?

You can’t let people resort to violence if they are unhappy with their economic conditions, cartoons or court rulings. You have to find a way to talk or be ready to hit back one you have tried turning the other cheek.
