There can be no negotiating with these people. They are not rational.Let me start by saying that to denigrate another religion is completely offensive to me.
I find the response even more offensive.
It is said by many that “Islam is a religion of peace?”
Here is a sample of their protest signs.

by News Agencies
A Belgian-Dutch Islamic political organization posted anti-Jewish cartoons on its Web site in response to the cartoons of the prophet Mohammed that appeared in Danish papers last year and offended many
Muslims.
The cartoons were posted on the Arab European League’s site on Saturday. It was not working Sunday morning because of exceeded bandwidth.
(…).
One of the AEL cartoons displayed an image of Dutch Holocaust victim Anne Frank in bed with Adolf Hitler, and another questioned whether the Holocaust actually occurred.

Well said Neithan!Approaching this from the important issues raised in Pope Benedict XVI’s recent Encyclical [Deus Caritas Est * (http://www.vatican.va/holy_father/b...ben-xvi_enc_20051225_deus-caritas-est_en.html),* we have here on the one hand an offence against Charity, and on the other, an offence against Justice. The cartoons were certainly uncharitable, and as Christians we must likewise condemn them, however, it is not the duty of the State to exercise charity, and the Muslim reaction to this is completely ridiculous and unjust. Now, we can respond in several ways:
The first is how Muslims are responding to the situation. Let’s not follow their example, please.
- uncharitably, and unjustly
- charitably, but unjustly,
- uncharitably, but justly
- charitably and justly
The second is how some sentimental types would respond; all love and no truth is only half the answer, in fact it is destructive.
The third is how the secular society is willing to respond–a cold enforcement of raw western ‘values,’ completely devoid of empathy.
The last way is how we as Christians should respond. We must reject the offensive motivations of the cartoons themselves and respect the hurt experienced in the Muslim community. These are real people with very deep beliefs and it is a sin to openly insult them. The ultimate goal is to bring people to Christ and that is only done by appealing to hearts. We cannot, however, simply turn a blind eye to the offences against justice which Islam is perpetrating–we must uphold the freedoms necessary for a just society, and one of those is freedom of speech/press. We cannot allow ourselves to be bullied by those who incline toward a totalitarian mindset.
Appeasement failed already, miserably, remember?
If us humans cannot negotiate with this life form, or satisfy them somehow, what is there left to do?There can be no negotiating with these people. They are not rational.
Look through the slideshow on the Yahoo link.
We’re dealing with the Borg here, folks. Either we become exactly like them, or their life’s mission is to exterminate us, like insects.
I’m just afraid that by the time the leftist media and the politically-correct “tolerance-at-all-costs” liberals figure this out, it’ll be too late.
What can we do? Well, I love that line from ‘Fiddler on the Roof’ where one of the Jewish villagers asks the venerable old Rabbi “Rabbi, is there a blessing for the Tsar?”. The sweet old man replies "Why certainly, my son; May God bless and keep the Tsar… FAR AWAY FROM US!!”If us humans cannot negotiate with this life form, or satisfy them somehow, what is there left to do?
As the muzzie fanaticism escalates so are the creation of new and more interesting muhammad cartoons. The complete cartoons can be found in www.faithfreedom.orgDoes anyone have a link for the cartoons of Mohammid that are causing such an uproar in Europe and the rest of the world?
I’d like to see em and judge for myself.
Anyway, radical Muslims who are causing so much trouble over a cartoon are doing their religion no service. Getting so angry over a cartoon that someone has every right to publish in a secular country like Denmark is weak on the Muslims part.
If I got my shotgun out and fired in the air every time someone blasted Jesus I’d be broke from spending all my money on shotgun shells!!(hey, maybe I could load my own)
Take a chill pill radical Muslims

EDIT: yeah, here it is.

The Conference of European Rabbis expresses its concern at recent publications by European press organs which humiliate and disparage the feelings of Muslims.
“I share the anger of Muslims at these cartoons and I understand it,” CER President and Chief Rabbi of France Joseph Sitruk said.
Rabbi Sitruk said that the publication of cartoons depicting the Muslim Prophet Mohammed by the Danish daily, Jyllands-Posten, and their subsequent publication by other European press organs, showed “a lack of intellectual honesty and a deep lack of respect for the feelings of others.”
“We gain nothing by disparaging religions, by humiliating people and by making caricatures of religious symbols. But even these actions must never be allowed to justify a response which is completely out of proportion to understandable feelings of anger. Nothing in our shared monotheist traditions can justify violence and blind hatred,” Rabbi Sitruk added.
The CER president pointed out that the increasing tendency of a lack of respect towards religion was not confined to the West.
“Jews are all too familiar with caricatures of hate which appear with increasing regularity today particularly in the Middle East. Such forms of what is wrongly called freedom of expression are unacceptable whether in Syria or in Denmark,” Rabbi Sitruk said.
“Everyone has the right to think whatever he wishes, but the right to express and the right to satire do not confer the right to humiliate and to injure,” he added.
The Conference of European Rabbis federates Jewish religious leaders in over 40 countries and includes all the continent’s chief rabbis and senior rabbinical judges. The CER holds consultancy status at the Council of Europe and within the institutions of the European Union.
Satirical cartoons have been around for many centuries. And yes, some may be in bad taste but that is no reason to go on a rampage and destroy properties.Let me start by saying that to denigrate another religion is completely offensive to me.

Well Said!Satirical cartoons have been around for many centuries. And yes, some may be in bad taste but that is no reason to go on a rampage and destroy properties.
Muslims only are bound not to make images of Muhammed not the rest of the world. We in the west have no restrictions nor should we. You are restricted because of your faith, and is commmendable, but those who have the freedom of the press will eventually post something that dosnt agree with your faith or thinking. But hey, thats what freedom and democracy is all about.
Now if it is your plan to eliminate freedom and democracy in the west than you will have a war on your hands I can guarantee it.

There is one thing you can not take away from the Muslims, and it is their ability to arouse universal opinion and reaction when they want to. Man is that power or what???Well Said!
I heard on the radio this morning that Iran is going to run a series of cartoons depicting the Holocaust to see if the West has the same opinion of free speech then. I wonder what they are going to do when we say the cartoons are tasteless, but that they have a right to publish them and then we don’t riot and threaten to behead the Ayatollah?
