Hi all, I need help, advice or suggestions. After my first cat adoption thread I began to feel bad about letting go of my cat, and the baby does love her. I’ve decided to keep her!!! Here’s my new dilemma, I will most likely go to California to have my baby since I may need a c-section and I will need all the help I can get. I will be gone for at least 3 months…I have no idea what to do with my cat during that time. And no, I can’t take her with me, carrying an 11 month old and one inside will be hard enough…also, at home my mom wouldn’t allow her to stay inside and she’s exclusively an inside cat. I don’t have anyone here that can take her while I’m gone…I’m in a pickle…help

There are people and organizations out there for temporary Foster care. These people will take your cat in for a few weeks. I know this because of people in the Armed Forces who own animals, they put their loved ones in foster care until they get back. You can try a google search and hopefully find a place for your cat. Someone is bound to take her in. I would. But I am in Puerto Rico. I love cats. They don’t love me back though.

Good luck on finding your cat a place and on your baby.

I’m happy to hear of your decision. I’m sure your babies will be blessed by having a pet.
That’s good advice from Dimmers. Here’s a website that might help out:
fanciers.com/links.html They offer links to foster care, no kill shelters, etc. I’d take her but I live in Seattle and my dog would eat her 😦
I pray that you’ll have an easy delivery, have all the help you need, and that all goes well for you.

Dimmers, you HAVE to tell us the story of that sign!! 😃
It is made up. Sorry, everyone asks and I always have to disappoint them. Just my imagination and a little website

If you can get her to Birmingham AL I’ll foster her…

otherwise…have you asked your vet? They probably know some foster families…

above suggestions were good too…

…also your church - maybe someone there would foster her for you or

is there a neighbor who could look in on her daily as well as watch your home while you’re gone??

Good luck - I know it’s hard now, but in the long run you’ll be glad you kept her.

I’ll be praying for you and your family. And kitty too!! 🙂
